Arcadia To Offer Act Standardized Test On Its Premises For All Dubai Students

At the time of this announcement, Arcadia School is the only test center in Dubai offering the ACT.

Dubai, 27th July 2020 - Arcadia School announced today that starting this September it would be offering the ACT standardized test on-premises for all students willing and registered to take the test in Dubai. The school will remain committed as ever on social distancing regulations, allowing only a maximum of 25 students per sitting so as to allow it to maintain social distancing norms in accordance with regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

In September 2018, the ACT became a computer-based assessment internationally. Students taking the test outside of the USA are now required to take the test on a computer at a test centre, unless they have special accommodations. Arcadia is committed to ensuring that its testing labs will follow the most stringent disinfection procedures including the rapid disinfection of keyboards between test sittings.

Giles Pruett, Executive Principal of Arcadia School, commented "This is an exciting collaboration for Arcadia, as college readiness testing is an important part of school career development and counselling. Our commitment as a host of the ACT will ensure that we not only support our own students in preparation, but we can also give back to our peers in the community."

ACT is the leading college admissions test that measures what you learn in high school to determine your academic readiness for university. The ACT is an admissions exam used by universities to evaluate undergraduate applicants. All four-year universities in the US, and more than 200 universities outside of the US, accept and value the ACT.
