Dubai, 3 October 2021 - Arcadia announces it’s second school adoption in association with Dubai Cares ‘adopt a school’ initiative. The initiative continues to bring education and stability to children from remote communities around the world.
While construction on Arcadia’s first adopted school in Nepal is underway, the Chairman of Arcadia Education celebrates his 81st birthday by contributing the funds for another school in Nepal. Mohan Valrani is known for his philanthropy and continuously seeks to improve children’s happiness, wellbeing and education. Both adopted schools will provide supplies, teacher training and adult literacy to the communities.
To commemorate the new school’s adoption, Dubai Cares Chief Operating Officer, Abdulla Ahmed Alshehhi joined Arcadia Education’s Chairman, Mohan Valrani for a signing ceremony. The event was hosted at Arcadia High School in Jumeirah Village Triangle.
The Executive Principal of Arcadia, Giles Pruett said: “We were delighted that our venerable and philanthropic Chairman Mohan Valrani has taken this opportunity to adopt a second school in Nepal, as the right of every child to receive a proper and supportive education should be a key global fundamental for every country.” He went on to say “We are excited at the prospect of visiting both of the schools as they grow and flourish, not only to give our own students the opportunity to experience other cultures, but to also support the development of our Nepalese cousins' learning development.”
